Buying a rectified PDA can be a great alternative for anyone who doesn't have the funds needed to buy a new one, or doesn't want to invest these funds in a new device. This option was not widely available a few years, as the PDA market was smaller. But now the market has grown to over 30 million PDA's sold by the end of 2004.

So the market is now flooded with millions of PDA's, some of them are looking for new owners.
The options are getting a used PDA, and a rectified PDA. In this article we'll cover the rectified PDA option and leave the used PDA's for another time.

To make things clear, a rectified PDA means that the product was returned, repaired, and then sold by the manufacturer" class="st_tag internal_tag" rel="tag" title="Posts tagged with manufacturer">manufacturer or an authorized agent. In many cases, the product you'll be getting will be as good as new, and it'll be hard to see that this is not a new PDA.

The rectified PDA will in most case come with some kind of a warranty from the agent or manufacturer. But you must beware that a guarantee that is given on an auction site will in most cases NOT be honored by the manufacturer. So if you're PDA breaks down after a few weeks, you have to deal with whoever sold it to you.

If you bought the rectified PDA at the manufacturer's site, you'll probably have a solid guarantee, so it's best to look there before you go for the auction site option.
