Online audio book sites are now becoming more popular and some of these sites even have a selection of titles that you can download free. Many people have downloaded titles to their computer, burnt them to a cd or put them on their music player.

I don't know about you, but I see more people with PDAs on trains reading things on there instead of reading paperbacks, or newspapers.
