E-TEN Information Systems today announced that its M600 Pocket PC Phone Edition now has the latest version of Skype 2.0 pre-installed on the device. E-TEN also confirmed that the company is scheduled to release an OS upgrade for the device soon and that Skype 2.0 will be one of the new features included in this package.

Traditional PC based VoIP has dome well to penetrate the technophile market. We are happy to accept occasional bad quality and spend hours in front of a PC screen. But if VoIP is to be widely accepted it's going to have to be much more user friendly. WiFi VoIP may just be the tipping point.
